Tekkonkinkreet - I stumbled upon this strange anime at my local video rental outlet and decided to give it a whirl one night. The visual scope of this movie is huge, drawing the audience into the world of Treasure Town as two young boys named Black and White struggle to protect their city. I will not bother to spoil anything else for those of you who haven't seen it yet. It's definitely worth a watch. 9.7/10
Cowboy Bebop - Incredible animation, love the jazzy theme, treated the audience as adults. Although I didn't like how short-lived it was, I am still inclined to leave it on my top 3. It's a very distinctive, unique anime that gained well-deserved attention during it's brief lifespan. 9.8/10
Anything by Hayao Miyazaki - Call me a sheep if you will, but the animation is simply phenomenal. This is as close to perfection as an anime can get. There are plenty of surreal and creative scenes to blow your mind away and the movies cater toward children and adults. It's very easy to enjoy his films and I simply cannot deny how much I adore them. 9.99/10
